Shira Moyal
Shira Moyal started working at Harris Keenan & Goldfarb in January 2022. She graduated from McGill University in 2006 with a B.A. with distinction. In 2015, she completed her LL.M. at Cornell Law School, where she received the Cornell CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Intellectual Property Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Ms. Moyal realized she wanted to be a lawyer after taking a law class in high school. She chose negligence and medical malpractice law because she wants to help people in their time of need after injuries in accidents or while under the care of a doctor or hospital.
Ms. Moyal’s biggest professional success is helping her clients recover awards and settle cases so they can obtain necessary medical treatment and resume their lives. She is proud of her accomplishment in earning a First and completing a Master’s in Shakespearean Studies at the University of London. She also published a paper in the Dispute Resolution Journal titled “Strategies and Techniques of Shakespeare’s Creative Mediators in Measure for Measure and The Tempest,” American Arbitration Association (AAA), Dispute Resolution Journal – Vol. 70, No. 3.
Ms. Moyal is a member of the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network, the American Bar Association, and the Brooklyn Bar Association.
In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, rowing, and painting.
