Crismeily Alburquerque joined Harris Keenan & Goldfarb in November 2023, bringing a deep passion for the law and a rich family tradition of legal practice. Hailing from a family of attorneys, including her mother, two aunts, grandfather, and his brother, Crismeily knew from a young age that she wanted to follow in their footsteps and become a lawyer. Her commitment to using the power of the law to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves has driven her career, and she sees the legal profession as a noble pursuit that helps move society forward.
Crismeily earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida in 2008, where she was an active leader, serving as Secretary of the Hispanic American Student Association and Chair of the Public Relations Committee for Project: Darfur. She continued her legal education at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, graduating with her J.D. in 2012. During her time in law school, Crismeily distinguished herself as a semifinalist in the Intra-School Moot Court Competition and was awarded the Academic Excellence Scholarship from 2009 to 2012.

She was named a New York Metro Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2021, featured in Top Georgia Verdicts by The Daily Report in 2015, and honored as a Pro Bono All-Star by the Georgia State Bar in 2014. What she is most proud of, however, is the strong connection she maintains with her clients. Crismeily believes in treating others as she wants to be treated, and this philosophy is evident in the care and attention she gives to each case, whether it ends in a significant settlement or not. Her clients often stay in touch and invite her to family reunions, a testament to the trust and respect she has earned.
Outside of her legal practice, Crismeily is an avid painter and is actively involved in various art organizations in New York City. When she’s not in the courtroom or at the office, you can find her in her art studio, exploring museums, or enjoying a jazz club.
